CAN MANOSA GLASS EARTH measures 6.90 meters in diameter and has a depth that, originally from about 7 m.
It is believed that it was built in the s. XVIII. It was the time when the ice trade was growing and extended for therapeutic uses and for the preservation of food. It was not possible to determine with total certainty where ice was produced, since Crespià torrent, the nearest watercourse, has a small, very irregular flow. Therefore, despite the distance, the ice could come from the river Fluvià, to the band of Vilert. The pieces of ice were transported to this well to conserve them and, later, to sell them at the beginning of spring.
